🥇The Olympics, You and Meditation

The Summer Olympics 2024 was an exciting time when the world came together in sports and excellence! It was a much-needed show of global camaraderie and cooperation.

I really was mesmerized by the agility of the athletes as they exhibited remarkable endurance and beauty. All of this against the locale of Paris and its environs was a joy to behold.

Of course, these people had been training for many years in their chosen field. We were privileged to watch the finest of the world perform, compete, and show us their expertise.

From volleyball to skateboarding and every sport in between, they shone.

But the star for me – and millions of others – was Simone Biles. I was captivated by her gymnastics!

It was beyond my comprehension how she was able to lift her body in the air and do the most amazing feats.

This tiny woman propelled herself 14 feet above the mat, did twirls in the air and came back down to do breathtaking routines. She is the GOAT and clearly deserved her 3 gold medals at this Olympics.🥇🥇🥇 BTW, she also is a 30 time world champion with 23 golds!

Simone started training her body at the age of 3 and, much later, her mind and attitude. She has shared her journey in mental health and its crucial importance to her extraordinary performance. She’s become a highly visible advocate.

She often started her Olympic days with her coach and therapist getting her into a positive mindset and meditating.

Yes, she meditates along with many Olympic champions! A few others are: Kerri Walsh, Misty May Treanor, Novak Djukovic and Manu Bhaker.

This clearly shows how meditation can have positive effects in “the real world” and the validity of the mind body connection,

Meditation helps you in being you 🫵

A few of the benefits of meditation include reduced stress and improved general well-being. The benefits of mindfulness are feeling more confident and productive. You are better able to take care of yourself now.
