Happy New Year!
Still at the beginning of 2025, this is a good time to go over your goals for the year. New year/new you!
You can move your intentions into reality using the gift of manifestation. Once you become comfortable with it, you can create a life that expresses your passion and purpose.
The Nakashima Foundation for Peace winter newsletter gives you some concrete examples of my own manifestations. Summarizing its accomplishments from last year, this will show you the 2 major events I gratefully helped to materialize: The 3rd Peace Award given to Steven Rockefeller Sr. and The Tools for Peace program for the community.
Here are 5 steps to manifest your aspirations:
1. Concentrated
Be focused on what you really want.
This stimulates your Reticular Activating System.
2. Energize
Use your whole body to get excited about your goal.
This stimulates your amygdala.
3. Let go
Release any blocks and resistances to it.
This reduces the cortisol in your body.
4. Take action
Even small steps can be positive. Repetition daily creates good habits and can deliver greater results.
5. Gratitude
Keep a journal of all the good people and things in your life. Write 3 examples each night.
This will increase your hypothalamus output.
I used them and to my conviction and delight, they were successful!
Having met Steven Rockefeller Jr., we bonded over our connection to George Nakashima. This was in April and it took until October to actually give his father the 3rd Nakashima Peace Award.
It was certainly worth the wait as Mira and I worked through the many details and Steven graciously agreed to accept the honor for his father. I didnât falter in moving through the problems, convinced in the synchronicity of our meeting and the importance of honoring his Dad.
The day was warm and golden, with many people attending to share the occasion in celebration! You can see the ceremony in âLearn Moreâ below under Third Nakashima Peace Award.
The other manifestation is The Tools for Peace program. Recognizing the turbulent times we are living in, I wanted to reach out on a grassroots level. Suggesting this at an advisory board meeting, it was immediately put into action.
The 4 workshops offered – by Barbara Simmons and myself – have been warmly received. They gave its participants skills to cope with the changes in our world. You can see my first one below when you click âLearn Moreâ under the Tools For Peace section. I trust you will feel better after watching the video there and doing the exercises.
Onward into a marvelous life you are creating with your own manifestations for this new year.
Be truly alive in 2025!
THIRD NAKASHIMA PEACE AWARD
Â
The Rockefeller family has had a long association with Nakashima Woodworkers. In 1972, when Governor Nelson Rockefeller commissioned Japanese architect Junzo Yoshimura to design a house in Pocantico Hills, NY, Yoshimura turned to his old friend and colleague George Nakashima for the furnishings. Nelsonâs son, Steven Sr., was instrumental in supporting the first Altar to Peace placed at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in 1986.
